If your family loves pizza, Pi Day is one math holiday you’ll definitely want to celebrate. Every year on March 14 (3.14), restaurants across the country celebrate the mathematical constant π (pi) with deals on pizza, pies, and other round treats.
While pi helps mathematicians calculate the circumference of a circle, for families in Winter Garden, Ocoee, and Horizon West it has become a fun excuse for a pizza night, a sweet dessert, or even a quick family outing.

🍕 Celebrate Pi Day With Local Pizza
While national chains offer some fun Pi Day specials, it’s also a great opportunity to support a local favorite.
AJ's Pizza Joint in Winter Garden is celebrating Pi Day with $3.14 pizza slices all day long. Known for its New York-style slices and laid-back atmosphere, it's a perfect stop for families looking for a quick bite or a casual pizza night.
Another local favorite is Pinotti’s Pizza, known for its creative pizza options and convenient curbside pickup. Their menu includes unique specialty pizzas like their popular shrimp pizza.
If you’re planning a family pizza night on March 14, visiting a local pizza shop is a great way to celebrate Pi Day while supporting local businesses in the community.
🧮 Fun Pi Day Activities for Kids
Pi Day isn’t just about pizza. It can also be a fun way to sneak a little learning into the day.
Try baking a pie together, challenging your kids to remember digits of pi (starting with 3.14159), or going on a simple circle scavenger hunt around the house to find things shaped like circles like plates, wheels, cookies, and frisbees.
You can also let kids create their own mini pizzas at home or turn the day into a small family outing by picking up pizza and enjoying it at a local park like Newton Park or the new Horizon West Regional Park.
However you celebrate, Pi Day is a simple way to mix a little math, a lot of pizza, and some family fun into your week.
